올해 다크룸은 ‘일상의 예술, 사유의 방’이라는 주제로 선택된 책과 사진으로 공간을 채우고자 합니다. 첫 번째 기획인 《책이 된 이야기: One for the Books》는 원래 ‘기록할 만한 특별한 일’이라는 의미를 담은 관용구로, 이번 전시에서는 특별한 일이란 한 사람이 경험하는 매일의 일상이며 그 소중한 시간을 책으로 담는 일이 바로 특별하고 고유한 예술이라는 이야기를 담았습니다. 일상을 섬세하게 바라보고 사유하는 주의 깊은 시선이 사진이 되고, 종이로 만들어진 사유의 방- 아티스트북이 되는 과정을 나눕니다.  

D’Ark Room fills the space with a curated selection of photobooks and photographs under the theme “The Art of Everyday Life, The Room of Thought.” This exhibition suggests that the concept of specialness is conveyed in the idea that the everyday experiences of an individual are extraordinary. We aim to show how a careful, thoughtful gaze that delicately observes and contemplates daily life becomes photography, and the room of thought, made of paper, becomes a book.

이 책은 작가가 일상 사물을 확대 촬영한 사진을 직접 제작한 한지에 흑백으로 프린트한 작품을 담고 있습니다. 작가는 명상적 촬영 과정을 통해 대상의 본질만을 남기고 모든 부수적인 요소를 비워갑니다. 형태는 단순화되는 대신 자신의 감정과 깊은 내면의 메시지가 빈 공간을 채우고 있다. 작가는 바라봄을 통해 본질을 찾아가는 과정과 존재를 탐구하고 표현하는 예술적 역할에 대해 질문합니다.  더보기>

This book consists of works capturing everyday objects in intimate close-ups, which are then printed in black and white on Korean handmade paper. Through a meditative shooting process, the artist distills the essence of the subject, removing all extraneous elements. Forms are simplified, while the empty spaces are filled with the artist’s emotions and internalized thoughts. Read More>
