작가는 30여년간 ‘세계와의 대화’ 프로젝트를 진행하며, 6개 대륙의 50여 개국에서 만난 사람들에게 여덟 가지 주제 - 태생, 가족, 삶, 죽음, 가치관, 전통, 연결고리, 서구 문화에 대해 공통적인 질문을 던지고 그들의 초상을 찍었습니다. 무작위로 선정된 응답자들은 각기 다른 세대와 문화권임에도 불구하고 한결같은 목소리를 내고 있습니다. 『세계와의 대화』라는 사진의 창을 통해 우리는 ‘보편적인 인류애’에 대한 믿음을 회복하고 더 넓은 세상을 만날 수 있을 것입니다. 2017년 100권의 한정판으로 만들어졌던 『세계와의 대화』가 2025년 개정판으로 출간되었습니다. 초판과 마찬가지로 99장의 사진을 담았으며, 새롭게 교체된 20장의 사진을 만날 수 있습니다. 더보기> |

The artist carried out the “A Conversation with the World” project over 30 years by asking a set of common questions on eight themes—origins, family, life, death, values, tradition, connections, and Western culture—to people he encountered across more than 50 countries on 6 continents. Alongside these conversations, he took portraits of the respondents. Through the photographic window of A Conversation with the World, we are invited to rediscover our faith in the ‘common humanity’ that connects us all—and to encounter a broader, more inclusive world. Originally published in 2017, A Conversation with the World returns in 2025 as a revised edition, featuring the original 99 photographs with 20 newly updated images. Read More> |

6/18-22일까지 서울국제도서전의 독립 출판 및 아트북을 소개하는 ⟨책마을⟩ 프로그램으로 참가합니다. 닻프레스는 올해 신간인 『THING』을 비롯하여 『세계와의 대화』 , 『DARK LIGHT』 , 『사진집 출판하기』 , 『MONOLITH』 , 『Paper Constructs』을 포함한 작품집을 소개할 예정입니다. 2025 서울국제도서전은 6월 18일부터 22일까지 5일간 코엑스에서 열리며, 닻프레스는 B1홀에 위치한 ⟨책마을⟩ 존 안에 U17-32 테이블로 참가합니다.
