Sangyon Joo’s new book, “Other Ways of Being” is officially released. Through observing nature such as as land, sky, lakes, and trees, Joo practices various perspectives to reconnect with herself as a part of nature. Through the process of selecting, reconstructing, and editing the captured photos, this book stands as the result of another method of creating. Read more>

오프닝 리셉션 Opening Reception: 10.6(Sat) 2PM

이번 전시는 주상연 작가의 10년 만의 개인전으로, 동명의 사진집 출판과 연계하여 진행됩니다. 시력을 잃을 뻔한 사건을 통해 본다는 것에 대해 새롭게 인식하게 된 작가는, 자신의 X-ray 사진 속 뇌혈관을 자연물과 연결하며 안과 밖의 풍경을 교차시킵니다. 그가 바라본 장소와 대상은 기억 속에서 서로 조우하며 빛의 추상이 되고, 숲과 정원이 품고 있는 전시 공간 안에 흩뿌려져 관객과 만납니다. 더보기>

This exhibition by Sangyon Joo, representative of both Datz Press and Datz Museum of Art, is accompanied by a publication under the same title. After a near-loss of vision incident that profoundly altered her perspective, the artist weaves together the landscapes of the inner and outer worlds by merging her cerebrovascular X-ray images with the subjects she has captured. ⟪무경계⟫ 전시 연계 행사

Related event of the exhibition "No Boundaries"

닻미술관에서 현재 진행중인 전시 ⟪무경계⟫의 참여 작가 브라이언 오스틴, 웨인 레빈과 협력 큐레이터 앤 베이의 한국 방문을 기념하여 작가와의 만남을 준비했습니다. 10월 7일 토요일 닻미술관에서는 ‘작가와의 대화’가, 10월 13일 금요일 서울 구의동에 위치한 다크룸에서는 ‘아티스트 토크’가 열립니다. 두 작가와 함께 작업에 대해 이야기 나누는 소중한 시간으로, 관심있는 분들의 많은 참여 바랍니다.

Photographer Bryant Austin, Wayne Levin and co-curator Anne Veh are visiting Korea for the exhibition “No Boundaries” at DMA. To celebrate this, an engaging “walk and talk” tour of the exhibition will take place on October 7th at Datz Museum of Art. As an extension of the exhibition, an artist talk will take place in the project space of Datz Press, D’Ark Room in Seoul on October 13th.

작년에 이어 올해에도 닻프레스가 세계 최대 규모의 사진 예술 페어인 파리 포토에 유일한 한국 출판사로서 참여합니다. 올해 26회를 맞이하는 파리 포토는 세계 각국의 사진 전문 갤러리와 출판사들이 모이고, 매년 약 6만 명의 관중이 찾는 사진계 소통의 장이자 사진 예술계의 흐름을 한 눈에 볼 수 있는 권위 있는 페어입니다.

Datz Press is participating in Paris Photo, the world’s largest photo art fair. Paris Photo is a prestigious annual event in the world of photography held for the past 26 years in Grand Palais, a historic structure located in the city center of Paris. This fair, which gathers about 60,000 people every year, is the place for cultural exchange among galleries and publishers specializing in photography.
